Pro-Tech Business and Computer College was established in 2001 and has come a very long way since then. Many students, teachers and professionals have successfully qualified here and we hope that many more will reap the benefits of the Education offered at Pro-Tech Business and Computer College.Pro-Tech caters for paraplegics, underprivileged, old and young, school leavers and professionals. The college has spent approximately R2 million expanding and renovating the college as per MICT SETA requirements.Pro-Tech achieved MICT SETA Accreditation on the 15th of April 2014. The college has qualified Assessors and Moderators and Microsoft Certified Professionals and Pastel Certified trainers, just to name a few. Many people from surrounding rural areas are very poor and underprivileged and cannot afford to travel to Ladysmith, Newcastle, Pietermaritzburg or Durban to obtain their education. Pro-Tech has purchased a six meter container with the intention of taking education to people who do not have access and look to renting out the facility for other areas of education eg. Maths and science literacy programmes facilitated by experts. The college is looking into applying for Learnerships from MICT SETA for potential students. We are currently designing our own Accredited Manuals thus reducing expenses. As we look to the future we envisage a growing awareness and appreciation of each other’s culture and people. We see the strength and vitality of this long-term association resting wholly in the hands of our community, businesses in Umtshezi and local and surrounding rural areas and Municipalities.
